At WildSur, we are deeply committed to the protection of nature.
We are inspired by infinite landscapes, vastness, freedom, and the connection felt when visiting nature at its finest.
A territory that moves us and invites us to care for it.
In 2019, we created the Fundación Parque La Tapera, a family conservation project located in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, in an area
dominated by glaciers, fjords, channels, forests, and the presence of highly vulnerable wildlife species of great ecological value.

The park protects a unique ecosystem and serves as a space for scientific research to understand and preserve its extraordinary biodiversity.
• 177 native plant species, including the Guaitecas Cypress, a tree of great cultural importance. Its exploitation allowed for the presence of inhabitants and the creation of Caleta Tortel, the town without streets where people move along endless stairs and walkways built with cypress wood, serving as an example of architectural adaptability.
• Abundant native fauna: pudus (the smallest deer in the world), waterfowl, and amphibians.
• Prominent presence of the South Andean Deer (Huemul), the emblematic endangered deer, which finds refuge in the park with more than 150 individuals, representing approximately 10% of the global population.
